Grand Velas has a complete list of all guest reservations and will be mirroring your original stay pattern when shifting reservations to the new wedding dates.
For example, if your original stay was Thursday through Tuesday for the February wedding, your reservation will now reflect Thursday through Tuesday surrounding the October wedding weekend.
Your length of stay will remain the same as what was originally booked.

No. At this time there is nothing guests need to do while the hotel processes the reservation updates.
Once adjustments are finalized, guests will be able to make any individual changes if needed.

We are hoping that most guests were able to cancel their original flights and receive either refunds or airline credits, as many airlines have offered flexible change options.
Airlines have already begun releasing schedules for October travel, so guests can start exploring new flight options if they wish.
One silver lining is that Southwest Airlines now flies direct from Las Vegas to Puerto Vallarta, with nonstop service beginning in June 2026, making travel much easier for many of our guests.
Southwest schedules are typically released in stages, so you may currently see one-way flights available before return flights appear. If you prefer to wait, additional return flight options should be released soon.
Otherwise, many other airlines continue to offer flights to Puerto Vallarta and guests are welcome to begin looking at travel options whenever it works best for them.

Grand Velas is unfortunately unable to issue refunds for the existing reservations. However, the hotel is offering a full credit for the value of your stay, which can be used for a future visit to Grand Velas anytime between now and October 2027.
We understand this may be an inconvenience and truly appreciate everyone’s understanding as we navigate this unexpected change.
If you already know the new dates will not work for you, our amazing wedding planner Tara Walsh is here to help walk you through the options available.

We love your little ones, and we know Halloween is usually a big family holiday. That said, our wedding weekend will still be an adults only celebration.
All wedding events will be kid free, with the exception of the children specifically included in our wedding party.
We completely understand that traveling without kids can require extra planning, and we truly appreciate everyone respecting our wishes for an adults only weekend.
